>_<
I know I’m using everything as an excuse now, for me not being able to work well, but really they didn’t help either.
I am just ranting. again, but I need to let this out.
So my parents are kind of like, corrupt government officials.
Like, there is a disadvantaged town, that was effected by the war even though they didn’t participate.
Then, one side decides to try to “make peace” by offering a gift, a new water supply which was much needed because the old one, was muddy and had a high chance of spreading water borne diseases.
The middle country didn’t want to accept this “gift” because really it was a bribe. Like accepting laundered money and other such dirty bribes - but without the new water supply life would continue to get harder, and the first water source may completely dry up.
Reluctantly the middle country accepted, begrudgingly the whole time, knowing full well that it was against what most believed in. However, those who accepted in weighed up the pros and cons already. Overall, by not accepting the gift, the middle country would be siding with the gift-less country where a dictatorship controlled everyone. Not wanting to make an enemy of the gift bearing country caused the middle country to give in.
The middle country made progress with the new water supply, but may have also abused the privilege - wasting water of festivities and other unimportant things such as bubble baths for every citizen twice a day if they wanted.
This is not what made the gift bearing country angry. The leader of the country simply expected the people to accept the gift then accept that country as well. And be part of the country, assimilate, and let go of their previous identity, just because of one small (if helpful) water source.
So the gift bearing country vengefully took it back, closed up the water source with cement that only heavy machinery would be able to bring back (heavy machinery which the middle country didn’t have).
The middle country, who have just as much pride as the waring countries, will not fight to bring back a water source that corrupted their morals… and will struggle till they make their life better for themselves, even though there is a drought and even though the crops need water right NOW if the country is to survive…
Yep, that is the analogy of my situation.
